Illinois Supreme Court Disbars 2 in Latest Disciplinary Filing

The Illinois Supreme Court issued attorney disciplinary orders during its March 2026 Term of Court. Sanctions were imposed because the lawyers engaged in professional misconduct by violating state ethics law.

Disbarred

Tyler Eugene Brown, Kansas City, MO

Mr. Brown was licensed in both Kansas and Illinois in 2022. In January 2025, the Supreme Court of Kansas disbarred him after he pled guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy in a Kansas federal court for having conspired, between 2013 and 2022, to embezzle funds from the International Boilermakers Union while serving in various roles at the union, including as Chief of Staff to the union’s President. The Illinois Supreme Court disbarred Mr. Brown as reciprocal discipline.

John Daniel Chambers, Chicago, IL

Mr. Bishop, who was licensed in 2007, was disbarred on consent. He engaged in criminal conduct, namely possession of cocaine. He also failed to act with diligence in various civil matters for five clients, made false statements to clients, collected an unreasonable fee in one matter, did not hold client funds in a client trust account, converted at least $1,520 in client funds, and made false statements to the ARDC.
