Barrington Attorney Samuel LaSusa Retires After Nearly 70 Years Practicing Law

Barrington, Illinois attorney Samuel A. LaSusa hangs up his briefcase after almost seven decades of zealous advocacy. 

Mr. LaSusa specialized in commercial, municipal, and real estate law. He has represented a broad cross-section of buyers, sellers, syndicators, lending institutions, landlords, commercial tenants, brokers, developers, and real estate managers throughout his 69-year career. 

Mr. LaSusa was a proud member of the Illinois State Bar Association and served as a member of the ISBA's Special Committee on Judicial Redistricting in 1989-90. In addition to his ISBA involvement, Mr. LaSusa was a member of the American Bar Association, Northwest Suburban Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Trial Lawyers Club of Chicago, American Trial Lawyers Association, American Judicature Society, Justinian Society of Lawyers, and the American Arbitration Association.

Mr. LaSusa received his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1955 from DePaul University. He was admitted to the practice of law in the State of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois Federal Bar and Federal Trial Bar, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. LaSusa retired from his Of Counsel position at LaSusa Law Offices, PLC, which serves clients nationwide. He is 94 years young and shot a 96 at Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, AZ, on April 11, 2024.

Sam it’s Ira Miller wonderful that you practiced so long and are still playing golf. Enjoy your retirement and it’s easier to make money on the golf course than in a court room.
