Public Service Recognition Week
In honor of Public Service Recognition Week (May 4 – May 10, 2025), the Illinois State Bar Association commends all those who tirelessly work in the public service sector, with special recognition to our more than 1,000 members who commit themselves to serving the people of Illinois. These dedicated individuals play a valuable role in the functioning of our government, upholding our legal system, and advocating for underrepresented and vulnerable populations.
The Standing Committee on Government Lawyers continues to provide resources and support to government attorneys across the state. Through its mission, the Standing Committee provides a platform for government lawyers to meet, register, and discuss common concerns; facilitates CLE’s in critical and innovative topics; and enriches our ISBA and legal community with their dedication, commitment, and service. Further, the Standing Committee is dedicated to ensuring adequate government lawyer representation in all committees and section councils of the Association and promoting the interests of government lawyers in all bar activities and within the legal profession.
The ISBA values the contributions of government and public service lawyers across the state of Illinois, recognizing their commitment to fairness and justice, community service, and strong leadership. These dedicated professionals strengthen our legal community and enhance the lives of thousands of Illinois residents on a daily basis. We extend our appreciation to all government lawyers, and we thank you for all that you do.
