The Illinois State Bar Association’s Lawyer Finder Service provides referrals to local lawyers Mondays through Fridays. The Service makes referrals in a number of areas of law. For the month of January, 2024, ISBA helped 1,444 people in need of legal services find lawyers.

Volunteers are needed for the 2024 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational, which will be held at the University of Illinois – Springfield on March 16–17, 2024.
This program provides an opportunity for students to learn what it is like to prepare and present a legal case before the Illinois courts. Participating students gain a better understanding of the justice system and improve their knowledge, skills, and ability to articulate in a reasoned, thoughtful manner.

Each year, the ISBA presents awards to recognize individuals and law firms for their commitment and service to the profession, their communities, and the Association. Award recipients are selected through a nomination process, and members are encouraged to nominate persons who meet the criteria for each award. Both of the ISBA's offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 14, and Friday, Dec. 15, so that all staff can attend a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Program. More specifically, the Chicago Regional Office will be closed all day on Thursday, Dec. 14, and Friday, Dec. 15., and the Springfield Office will be closed beginning at noon on Thursday, Dec. 14, and will remain closed through Friday, Dec. 15. Email communications (e.g., E-Clips) will not be sent on Friday. Normal operations and communications will resume on Monday, Dec. 18.
