Terrence J, "Terry" Anastas, of Quincy, died unexpectedly Thursday, June 25 while on vacation with family in Virginia. Terry was born October 25, 1958 in Quincy, the fifth of seven children born to Mary Elizabeth Bailey Anastas and the late Frederick William Anastas. He spent the first few years of his life on a farm - with no running water - near Woodland, Missouri. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Quincy, where Terry attended St. Francis Grade School. Afterwards, he attended Quincy Junior and Senior High Schools, where he played football and wrestled. He graduated in 1976.

Pat was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 14, 1935, and, he was proud to say, the same day as the enactment of the Social Security Act. He married Diane Lopez at St. Clements Church in Chicago on October 2, 1976.
Pat was the oldest of the six children of Patrick and Nancy (Bracken) Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Mickey, Frank, Bill, and sister Kathleen, and his beloved cats.

The Greensfelder Diversity Scholarship in Memory of Timothy R. Thornton will be awarded beginning in fall 2020. Each year, a student at Washington University in St. Louis School of Law who has demonstrated a commitment to diversity will be selected as the recipient. After awarding the initial $10,000 scholarship this fall, Greensfelder will fund an endowment to allow for the continuation of the scholarship annually in alignment with the firm’s commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession and creating opportunities for individuals in the firm’s communities.

Michaeline Gordon, 60, passed away at home in S. Barrington, IL on June 14 surrounded by her loving family.
Michaeline was born May 25, 1960 in Chicago, IL and later moved to the northern suburbs where she graduated from Schaumburg High School as the president of her class. She was chosen as Miss Schaumburg Rodeo Queen. Her love of learning was apparent by her extensive educational career. Michaeline earned her B.S. at the University of Illinois followed by a J.D. from the John Marshall School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation at DePaul University. She then attended Columbia University where she earned a Certificate in Mediation which enhanced her ability to relate to others in her professional career.
