John Patrick Joyce Jr. (Pat Joyce) born November 10, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 30, 2025. Pat grew up in Oak Park, IL, was the second oldest of seven siblings, attended Fenwick High School, and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago.
He met his beloved wife, Janice, while at Loyola. They married in 1969 while attending law school, graduating in 1972. In 1973, Pat and Janice moved to Springfield, Illinois, where they built their life together and raised their family. For over 50 years, Pat called the Springfield area home.

The aim of the Program is to connect rural and small-town attorneys and law firms looking to hire summer law clerks and full-time associates with law students and attorneys interested in practicing law in rural communities in Illinois.

ALTON, Ill. (July 21, 2025) – The 17th Annual Alton Miles for Meso 5K Run and 3K Fun Run/Walk benefiting the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) will take place Saturday, Sept. 20. Registration is now open for the in-person and virtual event, which is hosted and produced by Simmons Hanly Conroy and Metro Tri Club of Edwardsville, Illinois.
The event falls just prior to National Mesothelioma Awareness Day, which is commemorated annually on Sept. 26.

ALTON, Ill. (June 15, 2025) – The Community Hope Center Charity Golf Scramble, presented by Simmons Hanly Conroy, will take place July 18 at The Woodlands Golf Club in Alton. Proceeds from the event will help Community Hope Center provide groceries, warm meals, clothing, household items, and community navigation support to hundreds of families in the region who are facing food insecurity and other crisis situations.
