Richard Sloan Wilbur, M.D., J.D., of Lake Forest, Illinois, died peacefully August 6, 2025, at the age of 101. He was born April 8, 1924, in Boston, Massachusetts to Blake Colburn and Mary Caldwell Wilbur (née Sloan) of Palo Alto, California. “Dick”, as his friends and family called him, grew up in Palo Alto, CA near the Stanford University campus, where his grandfather served as University President, and where his father was a founder of the Palo Alto Clinic. Quintin Anthony “Tony” Siemer, 81 of Effingham, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham with a celebration of Tony’s life being held at 1:00 pm at the Gabby Goat in Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Effingham CEO Program.

John Patrick Joyce Jr. (Pat Joyce) born November 10, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on August 30, 2025. Pat grew up in Oak Park, IL, was the second oldest of seven siblings, attended Fenwick High School, and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago.
He met his beloved wife, Janice, while at Loyola. They married in 1969 while attending law school, graduating in 1972. In 1973, Pat and Janice moved to Springfield, Illinois, where they built their life together and raised their family. For over 50 years, Pat called the Springfield area home.
