The Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) recently announced that the organization is a member of the Illinois Armed Forces Legal Aid Network (IL-AFLAN).
IL-AFLAN provides civil legal services across Illinois to veterans, active duty military and their spouses and dependents. It is a network comprised of legal aid organizations and law school clinics across Illinois. Support for PILI’s participation in IL-AFLAN is underwritten by the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation.
Attorney Patrick Quinn, of the Quinn Law Group, LLC, has been honored with a 2018 Elite Lawyer Award for the area of personal injury.

John J. Mazzorana, 75, died May 27, 2018, in New Lenox. He was born May 14, 1943, in Chicago.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Elsie Mazzorana, and his wife, Claudia.
John is survived by his loving children, Vicki Mazzorana, Michelle Stokes (Roy), Katherine Wilson, Jason Mazzorana (Angie) and Anthony Mazzorana; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Wilson, Madeline Wilson and Gianna Mazzorana; his brother, Dennis Mazzorana (Therese); his caring companion of many years, Sandy Meinke; and her daughter, Amanda Wrobel; as well as many nephews and nieces.

Wickstrom, who spent 11 years with New York’s Pillersdorf Law Firm, will be joining Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard as an associate, focusing her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, and wrongful death cases.
During her time with Pillersdorf, Wickstrom assisted in obtaining many multi-million dollar recoveries for clients; namely, a $15.7 million verdict for the plaintiff in a case against Consolidated Edison of New York; and $10 million and $5.4 million verdicts, respectively, for two plaintiffs in cases against the New York City Transit Authority.

Over the past several years, Fox Rothschild has grown its national footprint significantly. The firm opened in Minneapolis in 2016, welcoming more than 80 attorneys via a merger with Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP. In May of 2017, Fox launched a Seattle office through a merger with 39-attorney law firm Riddell Williams LLP.

Brocton Lockwood, 74, of Herrin, died Monday, May 21, 2018. He was born January 10, 1944, son of Randolph Scott D Lockwood and Bonnie (Allen) Favrot.
Brocton married Gala Lindsey on March 16, 2001. She survives.
Brocton is survived by three children, Arden Dudek of Georgestown, Texas, Allen Lockwood of Cambridge, Md., and Jessica Lockwood of St. Louis, Mo.; two grandchildren, Beau and Mina Brandstetter; stepson and daughter-in-law, Dan and Alana King of Marion; and two grandchildren, Austin and Colten King.
He is also survived by one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Lindsey of Makanda; and many dearly loved cousins and special friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Thomas A. Briscoe, 64, of Waukegan, died Saturday, May 12, 2018, at his home. He was born October 3, 1953, in Chicago, and was a longtime Waukegan resident.
Tom was a member of St. Anastasia Parish, Lake County Bar Association, Lake County Republication Federation, Waukegan City Club, Knights of Columbus, Moose Club and enjoyed volunteering at First United Methodist Church soup kitchen. He practiced law in Lake County for 40 years.
