The ISBA honored the recipients of the Board of Governors Award this week. The award recognizes attorneys for exemplary service to the profession or the ISBA and nonlawyers for especially meritorious deeds or service that significantly advance the administration of justice or the goals of the profession or the ISBA. Additionally, Stephen Komie received the Presidential Citation.

Although there was no in-person ceremony this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several recipients were presented their awards from ISBA President Dennis Orsey and ISBA Past President David Sosin at various locations throughout the state.

The ISBA Young Lawyers Division hosted speed networking and wine tasting events on Friday, Feb. 28, at the ISBA Mutual office in Chicago.
