    A few spots remain for admission to U.S. Supreme Court

    Join ISBA members for a group admission to the Supreme Court of the United States on Monday, June 8, 2015 in Washington D.C.

    Sign up by March 13 for the ISBA's biennial trip to the U.S. Supreme Court! A special group hotel room rate is available at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel for the admittee, family and guests.

    To be eligible, you must be an active lawyer member of the ISBA, admitted to practice more than 3 years, and not have any adverse disciplinary action pronounced or in effect during that 3-year period.

    March with ISBA in the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade

    The ISBA Marketing & Communications Committee invites ISBA members to march in the Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 14. Members can meet the committee at the ISBA Chicago Office, 20 S. Clark, Ste. 900 or join the committee at the parade site, Columbus and Balbo. The exact ISBA parade number will be released the week of the parade.

    Lawyers' Assistance Program to honor Karmeier at Bartylak Dinner

    The Hon. Lloyd A. Karmeier, Illinois Supreme Court Justice, 5th District, will be honored at the 2015 Lawyers’ Assistance Program Joseph R. Bartylak Award Dinner on Friday, April 17, at the Sangamo Club in Springfield. The keynote Speaker will be the Hon. Robert J. Anderson, incoming President of the Illinois Judges Association. The reception begins at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m.

    Volunteers needed for ISBA Mock Trial Invitational

    The 2015 ISBA High School Mock Trial Invitational, which is co-sponsored by the ISBA and the Illinois Trial Team of the U of I College of Law, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15, 2015 at the University of Illinois College of Law in Champaign. The deadline to sign up is March 6.

    IBF to honor Ory, Mirabella at DuPage County Fellows Reception

    The Illinois Bar Foundation will honor Christine M. Ory and Joseph Mirabella, Jr. with the Beacon of the Profession Award on Feb. 26 at the DuPage County Fellows Reception. This event will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. at Maggiano's Little Italy in Naperville.

    General tickets to the reception are $55 a piece. Preferred tickets at $100 are available, and include special recognition during the formal program. Sponsorships are also available.
