Welytok, formerly with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has moved his practice to the Milwaukee office of von Briesen & Roper, S.C. as a partner.  Dan practices in the areas of business, employee benefits and tax. Dan is a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law school and received his LI.M. from DePaul Law School in 1989.

Weissman to be a featured speaker at ABA's International Senior Lawyers BLA Project

Michael L. Weissman, of Levin & Ginsburg, Ltd., will be a featured speaker at the American Bar Association's International Senior Lawyers BLA Project in Capetown, South Africa, from August 17 to August 27, 2009. The Project, which is undertaken with the cooperation and support of indigenous South African lawyers and law firms, is designed to assist black South African lawyers in enhancing their commercial law skills.

Changes in judgeships

Public Act 96-108 took effect July 30, 2009. It amends judgeships in the following circuits: 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 19th, and 22nd. It also creates some new judgeships. Click here for more information.

ISBA President John O'Brien welcomed over 400 members of the American Bar Association House of Delegates to a reception Friday night at the Chicago History Museum. Nathan Hinch is pleased to announce that he has opened an office in Wheaton. Hinch Law will focus on construction, real estate, business and environmental law. Mr. Hinch was previously with the engineering firm Sheaffer International in Glen Ellyn and served as Operations Manager/In-house Counsel. Mr. Hinch is a 2007 graduate of IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, and a member of the Illinois Bar. In addition to a J.D, he holds a certificate from Chicago-Kent's specialty program in Environmental and Energy Law.  He is also a 2000 graduate of Wheaton College. Hinch Law is located at 222 E.
